We race on the sea. That is why we stand up for it.
Blue Carbon was born from the belief that those who live the sea have a duty to protect it. The name comes from blue carbon: the carbon captured by marine ecosystems such as seagrass meadows. Protecting them is one of the most effective ways to fight climate change.
Three ideas any sponsor can make its own
Raise awareness
Use the visibility of racing to talk about marine pollution and degradation.
Protect
Support initiatives that defend Mediterranean marine ecosystems.
Decarbonise
Bring the need to cut emissions into the sailing conversation, and give visibility to those working towards a lower-carbon marine industry.

Our origins
Blue Carbon began in 2020 as Blue Carbon Ocean, a company dedicated to protecting and regenerating the marine environment. It ran blue economy projects for large companies and ports: collecting plastics and hydrocarbons, monitoring water quality and restoring ecosystems such as corals.
The spirit the racing team carries today was born in that period.
